Hammock (Calle Ocho) Dialysis Clinic located in Little Havana, Miami, FL, is a two-story medical office building of approximately 8,300 square feet of Area. The exterior facades integrate a contextual response to traditional South Florida Mediterranean Architecture using a modern vernacular design approach. Through the use of contemporary building materials and response to an urban context a pedestrian scale helped to ground the building and communicate with the existing public vernacular. Contemporary use of solar controls and Building Management Systems controls affords the occupants a variety of lighting and mechanical options. The ground floor houses a lobby, conference room, employee break area and facility support areas. The second floor consists of a medical treatment floor, administrative offices, storage and mechanical support rooms.
